One thing I found.

In chargen, when trying to assign specialty to languages it draws from normal experience not from specialty experience.

EDIT: Also lots of qualities during chargen are not showing up in what you can select. (Tough, Weapon Master) to name a few. Though there is quiet a bit.

There are no language specialties. Other languages are de facto new skills. And yes languages are a little expensive in this game.

You'll probably find this is because you haven't allocated all of your experience to the main attributes and/or specialities. Until you've spent all the XP, the sheet considers every attribute to be 0 and so any Quality with an attribute minimum won't be available.

That's what happened.

I found a work around anyways, you can just input the name of the quality and as long as you spell it correctly the sheet matches it up without issue ;)

Also I am about to created my own quality and add them to the quality list. Is there anything I should know about this?
I am not going to try and insert them alphabetically, so it shifts around too much to make me entirely comfortable, so I am just going to add them at the end of the list.

You should just be able to add it to the bottom of the list. The drop-down menus for qualities should adjust automatically. It might even automatically alphabetise, although I can't remember. And I did write this sheet a few years ago and in places its pretty clumsy! Let me know if you have any problems.

Adding skills seem to be find.

Though on Char sheet 1 and Char Sheet 2 I want to know how I can add more then three cells for skills, without messing everything up.

Or is three cell really all the Character sheet can do without completely making it from scratch?

(Ex. Next to Persuasion I can only pick three different specialization. Because there is only room for three cells.)

You can't. It will mess everything up. Why would you want more than 3 specialisations, aren't you better off at that point just spending the XP on raising Persuasion?

I was wondering if that would be the case.

It is only because of house rules! I made certain skills as trade skills and such. I can work around it though, but just having the player made notes in their personal info area.

Hello

I was wondering if anyone had a version of the interactive character sheet that included the GOT Edition changes?

Thanks

Which changes? There aren't a lot, as I recall, and I believe phild addressed all of them. If he doesn't get back to you here, then I can probably supply you with something... however my latest version has some significant bugs that I never managed to work out. The biggest changes in GOT that I'm aware of are around Armour and Armour Mastery - these were definitely addressed in newer versions of the sheet.

Just PM me and I'll send it over. To the best of my knowledge, it addresses the GOT changes, plus one or two other optional rules.

I hope I'm not bringing up an old thread but I was wondering what version of excel does the sheet work with? The note on the website says it can also work for open office, but knowing the differences in the formulas in excel and calc I wanted to ask the ones who made it.

It was originally made in Excel 97. I now use Excel 2007 and it seems to work fine. Because it is entirely formula, not macro, driven it should work in any version of Excel afaik.

I'm not sure why it says it works in Open Office. Maybe I tested the original version when I first made it, I don't recall! Suggest you try it and see - OpenOffice is pretty good at translating Excel sheets, but I don't know how it copes with some of the visual things like drop down lists using Data Limitation or Conditional Formatting.

I've got myself organised and latest version of the character sheet is now hosted on DropBox.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/eh7widlelluvp ... 20v5.1.xls

I'm just finalising my House Workbook / Generator so hope to get that up in a few days.

I would point out that GoT edition/Errata point out that the ability maximums are for starting PCs. (i.e. Starting as an Adolecent you are capped at 4. But in game you can go above 4 with XP.) The current sheet does not allow that to happen.

Hmm, I could make the change. But that's bloody stupid. They're called adolescent for a reason. Oh well, FAQs faq up the internal logic of a game once more ;-)

Hi, I currently have an older version of your xls file I got from a friend and wanted to upgrade to your latest version, I see that you said it was hosted asof a few weeks ago, but the supplied link doesn't seem to be working, is it still hosted on DropBox?

Must be because I reorganised my online files. Try this:
