Waiting greenronin rpg, but as i can't wait, i need a system to play in. Im thinking about freeform rpg, such as fudge or wushu, but need some big fixes to fit the universe.

And you, which one do you use ?

It's not particularly freeform, but I'd use this one: http://songofsteel.wikispaces.com/ :)

Hi everyone,

I started a campaign two years ago based on Maester Luwin's excellent background. I started with the D20 GOO system that I eventually considered too heavy (especially character experience and level system to adjust every time).

I continued the campaign recently. I'm currently using the Pendragon system modified with home-made rules (fatigue; special abilities like waterdancer abilities, blood of giants etc...) and I think it 's a very good system. It's mostly a "storytelling" system and especially good for psychology, passions and pretty esay to use for social rules.

When GR will plublished his system, I will take a good look at it and will probably use it if it was tailored for the universe. It seems it will be like this: the idea of a rule book and a campaign book seems to me particularly good. I'm looking forward to read both of them!

Well, I began my campaign using d20 and eventually switched to the Tristat rules presented in the Deluxe Edition Appendix. We absolutely have loved it! Those 90 or so pages at the end of the book are worth their weight in gold in my opinion. To my mind they are the best presentation of Tristat rules ever. Man I would have loved to have seen the Tristat only book printed. Rumor was it was mostly completed.

Well, I guess the best compliment I can give is that my group converted to the new system for playtesting purposes and I think it is actually adding to the fun! Combat is very exciting and gritty. There are also indepth mechanics for situations very common in Westeros that weren't really covered in the Trisat rules (covers diplomacy and mass combat extensively).

Woa, it seems really exciting. A very good news. Just have to wait until August...

Thanks for the feedback, Jon.

Frankly, Maester Luwin. The work you did on the Blackfyre era - viewed from the North - is simply great! (Hey guys, Come and try it!)
My campaign has just left the North for the Iron Islands where "King" Vickon is dead. Rolf Pyke and Vickon's brothers (and the husband of Vickon's daughter) are fighting for the supremacy in the Islands.
Big time.

My player impersonating Artos Stark was just glad to leave Wintefell. It was too hard to manage all the problems here:). Everytime he met someone, a new problem arose... He ended up hiding in the Godswood trying to get some rest

Hey Ser Ambrose! Thanks again! My online campaign actually has Vickon's third child, a daughter by the name of Vickara, as one of Lord Willam's wards/ Pc. She has had an on again off again relationship with Willam's son Edwyle. Still sickly, the heir of Winterfell is now engaged to Vickara.

The Ironborn are still very active & Rolfe Pyke is now Lord of Bear Isle!

Glad to hear you enjoyed the setting! Maester Luwin

I'd likely use the Epic Role Playing System.

It'd take some patching here and there and some creativity, but I think it could fit pretty well. (Epic is more of a toolkit system than a straight RPG.)

I use Hero's Banner. A really cool abstract system, great for freeforming. The characters are nobles with a strong sense of history. And gameplay is very generational. When your character dies (which will happen in a session, although this might cover a young violent death or living to a ripe old age), the next time you play you play a character who looks up to the former character as a hero. It mirrors the character arcs of the series almost perfectly.
