Postby Hellebore » Thu Apr 07, 2011 1:33 am

I've just put up the revised pdf of my original esoterica document.

It includes the following:

Encumbrance rules for equipment (which rework the way armour penalties function)
Fatigue rules
Expanded weapon and armour options - modified rules for some weapons re damage
Material types
Quality
Runecrafting
Enchantment
Armour and weapon runes
Talent modifications
New spells
Spell modifications
Ranger, Shapeshifter and Reaver specialisations

Hellbore, is there another place you can post this. I can't seem to downloaded if from your work servers on either IE or Firefox. It gets stuck at around 21 Megs

Did you try "save as" or open the file to view it at the site before saving ?

I know I had some trouble where it just wouldnt open and just showed a grey background with acrobat reader.
But when I saved the file to my desktop with "save as" it worked just fine.

Dunno if that is any help, as I'm not very computer savvy, but...

Rightclick save as is the best option.

If anyone has an alternative location that will accept ~40 meg documents then I can put it there. But the places I've tried to put it either won't accept it or require other people to be members before they can look at it.

I personally use Dropbox as you can make stuff you put on there available to the general public if you want.

Ok, right clicking and saving to desktop worked..... <sigh> Still took me 12 minutes  Of course I only have AT&T DSL and was watching a pron movie, the daughter-in-law was in the living room with 3 facebook pages open on her laptop and the grandson was watching Mario Brothers on Wii Netflix...... Wonder if that had anything to do with it????? >:D

Ok I was able to open it, but I now have to versions of the same doc, how do I know that the new one is revised when I have the document open? I didnt see the word "revised" a "2nd printing" or "version 1 rev" anywhere (its also early in the morning so I might not be seing it..).

If it's more than a dozen pages long then it's 'revised'. I originally only made it a small document with a few things in it, but decided to combine it with other things I was working on.

EDIT: It also wasn't called 'Vault'. It was simply 'Esoterica from Thedas Volume 1' as we hadn't done any more. Then we did the bestiary so I went back and revised it.

Good to know.

What are the main changes from this version to the previous ones?

Or put another way, which pages do I need to reprint? :)
