Can't see it mentioned on this site, so, this date is correct right?

It will make a nice bookend to the entire deal. My people I am running for (group 1) are so excited to be a part of this game universe.

I killed my 2nd ed AD&D game (group 2), and my Star Wars SAGA game (group 3) is on hold. All I am playing now is Dragon Age, and getting ready to start a Cubicle 7 One Ring campaign (group 2, former 2nd ed).

So it's a whole new era of all story, narrative style games. Set 3 will be most welcome.

If things go to plan, set three will be out in hard copy shortly before this:

Which would be nice...

It's not good to me as I can't use that book information now when I need it. When that comes out in April next year that will be 5 months passed.

Nice.

Was hoping for a link to DA set 3. I'm really curious as to how it will turn out.

Well, it's past the middle of November and no sign of the Set 3 PDF.

Only this GR tweet today: 'Assembling artists for Dragon Age Set 3. This project is going to kick butt.'

Assembling artists?

For a product that's supposed to be out in the next fortnight?

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Set 3 won't be out until February 2013. Just in time for the release of DA3 I believe. I could be mistaken.

DA3 is set for a fall release, AFAIK.

Jep DA3 is set late 2013. So I don't think it has anything to do with DA 3(Dear god I hope not)... Lets just stay calm and wait and see

Set 3 is in the approvals process. We've been sending chapters up to BioWare for some time now, getting back their comments, and revising the text. When it became clear the text would not be ready for a November release, we pushed back the commissioning date for art to help manage cash flow. We will hopefully release the PDF in January.

Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for the update. Is the Deep Roads adventure book still to be published after Set 3?

Aww Man... My guess is that Bioware will postpone the release of set 3 until after the release of Dragon Age 3

I doubt they can. I would assume in the licensing contract that there is some wording about length of time for approvals and such. I would also assume that there would be litigation between GR and Bioware for a 10 month "just 'cause" delay. I could be wrong, though.

The fact that they're owned by EA, a multi-million $ company and 1 of the largest videogame publishers in the industry, says to me you're probably wrong. ;)
I doubt Bioware would want BS3 delayed until the release of DA3. They really don't have anything to gain by that and much more to gain by DAGE players playing a completed RPG when DA3 hits shelves. Now if it comes down to the new execs at Bioware not having their house in order to allocate staff to approve it - that's something different.

I'm just glad Chris notified everyone closer to mid month rather than towards the end.

I don't know... there's litigation filed every day.... even against multi-ga-jillion dollar companies. Sometimes, they win, too! :)

But if there is a specified turn-around time for approvals, Bioware/EA would be in breach if they pushed it back because of timing. GR has a certain investment in Set 3, and I'm assuming they want to start earning money.

I guess it comes down to whether EA/Bioware see the RPG as simply a marketing oppertunity or something to further the actual brand too. Given the time its been between set 2 and 3 I do hope it wont be delayed to much further (though I wont be supprised if it is).

Yes, it's next up after Set 3.

And no, Set 3 will not be delayed by the Dragon Age 3 video game.
