Mutants & Masterminds Threat Report #30: Huntmaster

Mutants & Masterminds Threat Report #30: HuntmasterHuntmaster and his pack of Warhounds are a mystery. They strike without warning and seem to care only for “the hunt.” Someitmes he’s after the bounty on his target’s head, other times he’s simply interested in a challenge. He’s appeared in locations around the world and apparently comes from outside our reality, which explains his impressive armor and car-sized Warhounds! What will your heroes do when Huntmaster sets his sight on them? This product is for Mutants & Masterminds Third Edition.

Death MagneticIt’s a truly “fatal attraction” in this week’s Threat Report as we revisit a foe from the Prologue of the “Emerald City Knights” adventure series. Divine Gifts for AGE System

Kobold Quarterly #18Our own Steve Kenson is featured right up front in the new issue of Kobold Quarterly magazine, with a new take on divine champions for the AGE System: the Divine Gift talent. (As with every issue, KQ #18 is also loaded with articles that are either systemless or can easily be adapted to a Dragon Age RPG campaign.)
The Divine Gift talent can be found in any class, since the gods bless anyone regardless of birth or background. A character with a Divine Gift may be a devout worshipper, a chosen prophet, or other champion of a divine power.
Divine Gifts are defined by Dominions, which are the areas of influence for the various divine powers. Below is a writeup of the Divine Gift talent and three sample Dominions: Protection, Trickery, and Death. You can pick up Kobold Quarterly #18 in print or in PDF and read more about Divine Gifts—including a loss of faith that can occur when they don’t work.

New AGE System Bestiary from Open Design

Midgard_Bestiary_Cover_AGE_220px.pngMore than a few of us at Green Ronin have fallen into the hands of Open Design’s Wolfgang Baur at his gaming table, and we can report that the man comes up with some good monsters. They’re fun, surprising, and they really make you earn that treasure.
For the past five years Open Design has turned out one cool monster after another; and as of today some of the best are available for the AGE System* in the Midgard Bestiary: Volume 1.
With an introduction by Jeff Tidball, the Midgard Bestiary includes 50 new foes for the AGE System*, including the iron ghoul, kobold slyblade, harem assassin, clockwork hound, and an insane derro fetus that swaps souls with its victims. (Yes, that’s how Open Design rolls.) Although they were created for the Midgard campaign setting, any of them can be adapted to a homebrew or published setting.
(* The AGE System is that used in the Dragon Age RPG.)
As a sneak preview of Midgard Bestiary: Volume 1, here’s a golem made of…eyes? Yikes.
